who I am

I tried to find the most recent photo of me that was true to life. This is close.

I was born and raised in the small western corner of Tennessee, in a little town called Williston. There I soaked into my very bones the love for the outdoors, with all its wildness and wonder. I was taught by my parents through example and love, and several creative means of discipline, to live life to its fullest.

Fast forward several decades, and the world has changed a bit. Some will say much more than a bit.

Here on my website, I ponder those and many other things I find interesting. My day job as of late puts me squarely out there where I love to dwell (outdoors), as do most of my activities outside the daily grind.

One of my deep interests is science, specifically in nutritional health and exercise physiology. I have a passion to see people’s lives changed for good in this space. Go to health, and then mythos health coach for more on this.

I also love music, particularly guitar — electric and acoustic. And writing. And history. And the list goes on.

Let’s keep it simple. I’ll leave you with this for now. It sums it up well:

“Be good to the ones you love, eat good food and get outside.”
